Foundation for Culture and Science of Mongolic Peoples and Academia of Mongolian Traditions invite to attend the 5th International Conference “Past and Present of the Mongolic Peoples” which is under the auspices of the Mongolian Academy of Sciences and to be held at Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on August 24-26, 2017.

As we are all aware, today’s globalized society is undergoing ever increasingly rapid change. Many nomadic peoples have abandoned their traditional ways of life and now live in urban environments. So, today the lifestyles and traditional culture of Mongolic peoples vary greatly. At this conference researchers and specialists in Mongolian studies and ecosystems to discuss from various viewpoints the past and present dynamics of the Mongolic peoples, with reference to history, traditional religions, language, literature, arts, cultural exchange, dairy products, pastoral ecology and the environment are invited.

The conference consists of four sessions:

Session 1: History, traditional religions and customs;

Session 2: The Mongolic language and dialects, and linguistic change;

Session 3: Cultural exchange, literature, oral traditions and arts;

Session 4: Pastoral ecology, environment and daily products.

There is a mandatory fee for all attendees which includes registration, the conference, printed materials, and an excursion.

If you wish to present a paper, please inform us of the content of your presentation by June 20, 2012.
