«Дзэйцхар-мигчжан», составленный в XIX в. монгольским гэгэном Жамбалдорчжэ, является единственным иллюстрированным источником по традиционной медицине и имеет первостепенное значение для истории культуры монголов и тибетцев. Богатый информационный материал в сочетании с графическими изображениями придают источнику особую уникальность. В трактате приведены описания около 580 видов лекарственного сырья: минерального, растительного, животного происхождения и медицинского инструментария; даны анатомические диаграммы с указанием точек кровопускания, прижигания и иглоукалывания. Перевод памятника, впервые выполненный с тибетского оригинала, сопровождается научным аппаратом, который отражает содержание «Дзэйцхар-мигчжан» и обеспечивает легкость поиска нужной информации.

Jambaldorje. mDzes mtshar mig rgyan. The Mongol-Tibetan source on history of culture and traditional medicine of XIX century / translation from Tibetan, preface, indices, glossaries by Yu.Zh. Zhabon. – Ulan-Ude: Republican Printing House, 2011. – 220 p.

The medical treatise mDzes mtshar mig rgyan the full title of which is “The delightful ornament of eyes, which has appeared in the mirror of faultless recognition of Medicinal amrita” is written in Tibetan by Mongolian healer Jambaldorje in the form of practical reference book and it reflects the valuable contribution of Mongolians to Tibetan medicine. The Russian publication presents an annotated translation of the mDzes mtshar mig rgyan with its scientific apparatus, indices, glossaries and illustrations. The mDzes mtshar mig rgyan translated into Russian will extend information basis for studying various questions of cultural life in Mongolia, China and adjacent countries, thus enriching our knowledge with data on their natural-scientific, sociological, medical, and philosophical notions. The significance of the mDzes mtshar mig rgyan is very high as the text reflects not only the certain stage of Mongolian, Tibetan medicine and history of natural sciences, but also in general, the history of spiritual culture of the Mongolian-speaking peoples, high level of philological science of the time, history of printing, arts traditions of illustrating. The Russian translation of this unique source, which shows the succession of medical traditions, has been accomplished using the only one copy of the xylograph, kept in The Department of Oriental Manuscripts of the Institute of Mongolian, Buddological and Tibetan Studies of Russian Academy of Sciences.
