Монография относится к работам из области социальной антропологии и реализует новые исследовательские подходы. Она рассматривает субэтносы русских, сформировавшиеся в процессе освоения новых земель в Байкальском регионе, и интеграцию бурят в Российское государство. Объектом исследования в ней выступают русские, буряты и татары. Будни и праздники, повседневная и обрядовая жизнь народов Бурятии в ХХ – начале XXI в. на основе устных рассказов раскрывает богатый этнографический мир субэтнических общностей, представляющих особый историко-культурный феномен в современной этнологии. Метод, разрабатываемый авторами, позволяет выявить глубинные пласты исторической памяти сельского информационного пространства на уровне индивидуальной, семейной, этнической и социальной составляющих.

The book belongs to the works in the sphere of social anthropology and uses new scientific approaches. It studies the sub-ethoses of Russians, formed up in the process of settling in new lands in the Baikal region and integration of Buryats in the Russian state. In this context it is for the first time that both Russians and Buryats, as well as Tatars are the object of study. Week-days and holidays, everyday life and rites of the peoples of Buryatia in the XX – the beginning of the XXI century on the basis of oral tales reveal a rich ethnographic world of sub-ethnic communities representing a peculiar historical and cultural phenomenon in modern ethnology. The method worked out by the author enabes to show deep layers of historical memory in the rural informational space at the level of individual, family, ethnic and social components.
