В монографии исследуется бурятская этничность в контексте социокультурной модернизации советского периода. Впервые в дополнение к историческим, политическим и публицистическим текстам для описания и анализа бурятской этничности привлекались художественные тексты (проза и поэзия), в которых путем деконструкции мы попытались вычленить результаты конструктивистской деятельности элит, а также выделить систему знаков, используемых для обозначения границ «своей» общности и служащих для ориентации в пространстве взаимодействий.

The book deals with the Buryat ethnicity in the context of sociocultural modernization of the Soviet period. The authors for the first time in addition to historical, political and publicistic texts attracted texts of prose and poetry for description and analysis of the Buryat ethnicity. In these texts by means of deconstruction the results of constructivist activity of elite were revealed. The system of the signs used for marking borders of "own" community and serving for orientation in space of interactions is considered.
