Монография посвящена исследованию языка памятника письменной культуры бурят начала XX в. – анонимного сочинения «Ацагатский очерк о хори-бурятах», написанного на монгольском письме в 1920-е гг. Согласно традиции востоковедной науки, в издании публикуются оригинальный текст памятника, транслитерация текста, его перевод на русский язык, переложение на современный бурятский язык, наблюдения авторов по языку исторического очерка. Ввиду этого исследование дает материал для изучения функционирования старомонгольского языка в разных регионах монгольского мира.

The monograph is devoted to the study of the language of the monument of the written culture of the Buryats of the beginning of the 20th century – an anonymous essay "Atsagat essay on the Khori-Buryats", written in Mongolian writing in the 1920s. According to the tradition of Oriental studies, it contains the original text of the monument, transliteration of the text, its translation into Russian, translation into modern Buryat, observations of the authors on the language of the historical essay. The study provides material for studying the functioning of the Old Mongolian language in different regions of the Mongolian world.
