В сборник включены материалы конференции, статьи, посвященные исследованиям наследия Ринчена Номтоева, историческим и источниковедческим проблемам, а также рассмотрены вопросы языка, фольклора и литературы монгольских народов.

On November 25–26, 2021, an international scientific conference dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding Buryat scholar-philologist, writer, educator Rinchen Nomtoev was held in Ulan-Ude. The collection includes conference materials, papers devoted to the research of Rinchen Nomtoev’s heritage, historical and source problems, as well as issues of the language, folklore and literature of the Mongolian peoples.

The first volume of the Explanatory Dictionary of the Buryat Language contains glosses of more than 8 thousand words. It reflects in a concentrated form the lexical and phraseological richness of the Buryat language, created by the people during several centuries of its independent history. The meanings of words and the peculiarities of their use are illustrated by examples from fiction, scientific, socio-political literature and mass media. Grammatical characteristics of words, normative stylistic marks are given.
