В книге представлен результат комплексного исследования языкового сознания титульного этноса Бурятии и форм его трансформации в условиях бурятско-русского двуязычия, определения ментально маркированных базовых понятий бурятской культуры и иерархии этнокультурных ценностей этноса, отраженных в языковом сознании. Она основывается на выявлении этнокультурных и ментальных особенностей носителей бурятского языка посредством моделирования языкового сознания с помощью их ассоциативных реакций на русском и бурятском языках. Данные исследования могут лечь в основу обобщений этносоциолингвокультурологического и психолингвистического характера, важных для анализа духовной культуры монгольских народов.

The book presents the result of a comprehensive study of the linguistic consciousness of the title ethnos of Buryatia and the forms of its transformation in the conditions of Buryat-Russian bilingualism, the definition of mentally marked basic concepts of Buryat culture and the hierarchy of ethnocultural values of the ethnos reflected in the linguistic consciousness. It is based on the identification of ethnocultural and mental features of Buryat speakers by modeling of linguistic consciousness using their associative reactions in Russian and Buryat languages. These studies can form the basis of generalizations of the ethno-, socio-, linguaculturological and psycholinguistic character, important for the analysis of the spiritual culture of the Mongolian people.

The monograph is devoted to the Mongolian-speaking ethnic groups of Northeastern China – the Old Barguts (self-name – Barga) and New Barguts (self-name – Shine Barga), which are little-known and little-studied in modern science. It is the first generalizing ethnological work on the Barguts in Russian and foreign Mongolian studies. Based on vast field material, two blocks of issues have been developed: ethnogenesis and ethnic history of the Bargut and Khori tribal communities, the history of their descendants – Old Barguts and New Barguts – in Northeast China during the period of Manchu rule; ethnic culture of two Bargut groups of Hulun-Buir.
